At present, there are three mainstream production processes for TPU films: cast extrusion, blow molding, and calendering. Each process has its own advantages, corresponds to different product positioning and application scenarios, and precisely meets market demands.
① Cast Extrusion Process: The first choice for high-end applications, delivering ultimate uniformity and clarity.
It is currently the most mainstream production process for TPU films, especially suitable for manufacturing products with high transparency and superior surface quality, such as medical-grade films and optical-grade films.
② Blow Molding Process: High-efficiency mass production for general scenarios. Also known as the bubble tube method, the blow molding process features high-efficiency mass production. It is suitable for manufacturing popular products such as garment laminated films, packaging bags, and waterproof films for shoe materials, boasting the widest range of applications.
③ Calendering Process: High-end customization to unlock special performance
The calendering process is a high-end manufacturing technology with relatively high investment costs. However, the films produced deliver superior comprehensive properties, making it ideal for customized and high-performance applications, such as interlayer films for bulletproof glass and high-hardness TPU films.
